Joining the Waiting List

If you would like your child to join the Waiting List, please ring the Pre-School to organise a visit.  If you then decide to place your child on our Waiting List, you will need to pay a non-refundable deposit of £20 to cover our administration, and complete a Waiting List Form for our records.  You will be contacted one term prior to your child's anticipated start date by the Supervisor, who will write to confirm which sessions have been allocated.

Free Entitlement

Free Entitlement PDF icon is available the term after your child’s 3rd Birthday and each parent/carer qualifies for 15 hours of Free Entitlement, subject to the sessions being available (please refer here to the eligibility criteria).  Some parents / children may also be eligible for the extended 30hours Free Entitlement (please see our Early Years Entitlement policy for full details regarding eligibility criteria, how to apply and allocation of these spaces).

West Sussex County Council requires all parents/carer to fill out a Free Entitlement Parent declaration which the Pre-School will place in the child’s drawer at the start of the term that will be relevant (valid child identification must be shown to the Supervisor).

For those accessing the universal 15hrs Free Entitlement, these hours can only be used during the morning and afternoon sessions. The cost of the lunch club, early bird, owl sessions and any extra / adhoc sessions outside of entitlement is additional.

For those eligible and accessing the extended 30hrs Free Entitlement, these hours cannot be used during the lunch club or Late Pick up session (these sessions will be charged at the costs mentioned above). The 30hrs Free Entitlement can however, be used during all other sessions, subject to availability (i.e. early bird session, morning & afternoon sessions and owl sessions on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday).

Payment of Fees

Invoices are prepared on a monthly basis and issued at the beginning of each month. Every parent will receive an invoice either by email or on paper (if requested).  Our preferred method of fee payment is via online banking directly into our bank account on or before the 15th of that month. We also accept childcare vouchers, cheque or cash as payment. Please email financeadmin@fishbournepreschool.org.uk for more information.

It is the parent/carer’s responsibility to ensure that our Sort Code and Account number are entered correctly on their own online banking system.  The Pre-School cannot be held liable if a parent mistypes either the Sort Code or Account number which could lead to a payment being made to another account.

If fees are not paid within 2 weeks of the payment date shown, a Late Payment Fee of £2 per week will be applied.

Please be advised that parents/carers are required to give half a term’s written notice or six weeks fees, in lieu of notice, if you decide to withdraw your child from Pre-School. This condition only comes into effect after your child has attended for three weeks and has had a chance to settle in.

Please see our Fees Policy for full details.
